Dr. Luis Calingo, Ph.D.
Dean, School of Business and Leadership at the Dominican University of California

Dr. Luís María R. Calingo is the dean of the new School of Business and Leadership at the Dominican University of California and was the founding director of the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership.  He previously served as business dean at John Carroll University and California State University at Long Beach, both of which are listed among the Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools.  He has served as a member of the Board of Examiners of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the country’s highest award for quality and performance excellence, since 1997.  An international resource expert in strategic planning and quality management, Dr. Calingo has assisted the governments of many Asian countries (Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam) on the establishment and implementation of their Baldrige-based national awards for quality and business excellence, as well as the infusion of quality assurance into their higher education systems.  He is also a member of the editorial review board of the Quality Management Journal.
