
Mick Ukleja has spent his entire professional life equipping leaders. His missional mandate is to help leaders live life on purpose. He is the Founder and President of LeadershipTraQ, a leadership consulting firm. In addition to a busy speaking schedule, Mick hosts LeadershipTraQ Televised. LeadershipTraQ Televised is an interview format talk show that profiles outstanding leaders. The program may be viewed weekly numerous Southern California cities. He hosts the award-winning LeadershipTraQ Podcast that focuses on managerial-leadership topics.
Mick’s leadership ability has allowed him success in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors. He is a principal in the Bonita Bay Group, the largest community developer in Southwest Florida and serves as a director on several boards which reflect his wide and varied interestsChairman of the Governing Council for the Ukleja Center of Ethical Leadership at California State University, Long Beach; Chairman, Board of Trustees of The Astronaut Memorial Foundation (which oversees The Center for Space Education at The Kennedy Space Center); The Board of Governors at California State University, Long Beach; The CEO Forum at the College of Business Administration at California State University, Long Beach; Reasons to Believe, a faith-based scientific research organization; and The National Executive Board for the Ken Blanchard Leadership Center for Faithwalk Leadership. He has also served as a faculty member for the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Mick has written for numerous professional journals and publications. He was a contributing author for the book, Living Ethically in the ‘90’s: Confronting Key Issues In This Generation. He has received numerous awards including the Senate, California Legislature, and Congressional Commendations. In 1998, he received the Century Club Award for his promotion of athletics in the city of Long Beach, California. He received the President’s Distinguished Service Award from California State University, Long Beach in 2002, and in 2006, was named Distinguished Alumnus from the College of Liberal Arts.
Mick, along with Bob Lorber, has a new book coming out Spring 2008 entitled Who Are You and What Do You Want?: A Journey For the Best of Your Life.
Mick is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach with degrees in Philosophy and Mathematics. He also holds with a Masters degree and Ph.D. in Theology.
Mick is an avid golfer and can often be found teeing it up on courses around the country.
Mick and his wife Louise live in Long Beach, California and have two grown children, Mark and Michelle.
